The GE Profile Microwave cooks and reheats food to the expectation of the guidebook information. I love the interior which is easy to clean and the cooking label that is on the top edge when you open the door. I love this microwave and love cooking meals in it.

I bought this microwave to replace the built-in we had so it had to be a certain size and match the built-in oven. It fits nicely but the installation process is so difficult you need an appliance person to install which GE does not provide. We used the old trim and wood strips instead. The oven itself makes more noise than the old one. A lot of steam comes out after most uses. The Reheat cycle takes too long to heat.

The mircowave has better power than our old one. It also has features that I really like: Melt defrost with pounds and the reheat of foods. I like that I can just do a number and have the mircowave haet for that many minutes. Im still gettin use to all the features.

The first GE microwave was installed in 2007 as builder standard and died around 2011. I had to buy the same one to match the built-in closet and save builtin kit. I also bought 5 years extra warranty. the 2nd one died in 2018 at a good age. That model was discontinued. The same reason for the 3rd ge microwave. Lets how long this one will last.

Just got this installed and looks and works great. Dont care for the dark grey interior and the control panel on the outside is difficult to see in low light-needs to have brighter lettering.

On my third one of these built in microwaves in 9 years. These should last much longer than 3-4 years. The only reason I continue to purchase is to avoid purchasing another trim kit that costs about $150 more than it should. This review must also be moderator approved so keep that in mind and read between the lines here of my experience and opinion with their microwave products.
All in all Id avoid a GE microwave and find an alternative thats built to last over this disposable model.

My GE Profile microwave oven model JE2160BF03 that I bought January 2007 stopped heating. Instead of repairing it I decided to replace it with a GE Profile microwave oven PEB7227DL1BB that was very comparable size watts touch panel etc. to the one that failed. I could have gone with a different brand based on reviews that I read online and based upon what Consumers Report reported in their latest evaluations of microwave ovens but decided to stay with GE since the older model worked very well for 11 years and I was very familiar with the the layout of the buttons on the touch panel. I didnt want to learn a different touch panel layout.
The new microwave oven performs well but Im disappointed in the interior color of the cavity inside compartment and the brightness and spacing of the touch panel numbers/letters. The cavity is a dark gray and is not as easy to see the items that I put in it through the window of the door--even when the oven light is on. The older model had a white interior and would have been a better color for the new one.
The brightness and spacing of the numbers/letters on the touch panel is my other complaint. Even though the old touch panel and the new panel are identical in size the newer model numbers/letters are smaller and not as readable and distinguishable as the older model. The color of the numbers/letters are fainter on the newer model than the older one. Also there are some slight differences in location of words/features on the newer model but that isnt as bad as the size and faintness of the letters/numbers.
So I do recommend this brand and model overall but a thumbs down on color of cavity and size and brightness of numbers/letters on the touch panel.

I bought this two months ago when my old microwave went out. Love this one. It has the same great features but it cooks twice as fast and has a nice large interior. So very happy with this new one.

STOPPED WORKING AFTER LESS THAN 10 DAYS

This unit stopped working after only a few days out of the box. Now I have to scramble to replace it. MAYBE. I have ordered the trim kit but not arrived. Maybe a good time to cancel and try something else.
